Job description

Industrial engineering:
You will deploy Industrial Engineering methods to determine, validate and optimize standard times in production areas. Also, you will ensure improvements of key performance indicators, such as performance rate, labor efficiency, workplace ergonomics, etc. Some of your key tasks:

  • improving production processes with focus on ergonomics and work sequence;
  • updating industrial engineering data in SAP system to ensure correct costing and planning data;
  • line balancing activities to ensure efficiency and required production output;
  • determining cycle times in the new project launch phase using MTM and REFA analysis (training will be provided);
  • participating in the new project development by identifying productivity improvement opportunities.

Operational excellence:
You will drive and support Operational Excellence activities within all areas of the organization in order to achieve annual financial goals and promote continuous improvement mindset. Some of the tasks:

  • supporting and coaching production groups to effectively solve and address production issues;
  • defining improvement plan for the plant in cooperation with the management team;
  • initiating, leading and implementing improvement projects, logistic concepts, processes and systems of work in all relevant plant areas including admin areas (Lean in Administration);
  • moderating improvement workshops as well as training and qualifying employees;
  • participating in and /or leading problem solving activities when required;
  • evaluation of the financial potential and business case calculations;
  • implementation of Hella Production System requirements according to the established global standards;
  • providing classroom and practical training to the new and existing employees
  • administrating production employee bonus system. Monthly bonus result analysis and review.

Requirements

  • Degree in engineering/business;
  • Production related work experience desired;
  • Analytical capabilities and enthusiasm for working with KPIs and numerical data;
  • Professional communication on the shop floor and on management level;
  • Knowledge and experience using LEAN and 'Continuous Improvement' methodologies;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English;
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and be willing to take responsibility;
  • Excellent prioritization skills and ability to see the 'bigger picture'.
