The National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI) is a non-profit organization working to strengthen democracy worldwide. The Institutes Vilnius Office/Eurasia Regional Info/tegrity Resource Center is currently seeking a full-time Regional Info/tegrity Program Officer/Senior Program Officer to support NDIs information integrity work in the region.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Contribute to managing day-to-day implementation of NDIs regional information integrity programs;
- Contribute to the forward planning and short/medium and long-term strategy development and implementation for the Eurasia Regional Info/tegrity Center;
- Develop and manage relationships and regular communication with program partners, vendors, consultants;
- Contribute to the planning and conduct of offline and online events, including presentations, trainings, consultations and workshops;
- Lead logistics for offline and online events, including presentations, trainings, consultations and workshops;
- Contribute to the development of program documents concept papers, project proposals, work plans, M&E plans and reports;
- Day-to-day monitoring of partners activities within the program, identifying challenges and opportunities and contributing to solutions and help achieve program goals;
- Managing drafting, reviewing, amending and managing contracts and subgrants with partners under the assigned programs;
- Lead the development of briefing materials for staff, external consultants and program partners;
- Ensure compliance of program expenses with established financial and operational policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- A degree in media, communications, sociology, social or political sciences or a related field required;
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience in the field of civil society, politics, communication, information environment or media landscape is highly preferred;
- Management and leadership skills in order to lead, inspire and motivate colleagues;
- Strong interpersonal, communication and networking skills, and a demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships with a wide range of stakeholders;
- Ability to work in an organized manner, meet deadlines and work both individually and in a team;
- Working knowledge of Google Apps (Gmail, Calendar, Google Drive, etc.);
- Fluency in English is required (working knowledge of Russian is an advantage).
