We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Pricing Lead to join our team. The Pricing Lead will be responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies to maximize profitability and market competitiveness. This role requires a strong understanding of market dynamics, pricing models, and financial analysis. - Develop and execute pricing strategies to optimize profitability and market share.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify pricing trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences.
- Analyze pricing data and financial metrics to evaluate pricing effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with commerce, marketing, and operations teams to align pricing strategies with business objectives and customer needs.
- Monitor and adjust pricing strategies based on market conditions, product lifecycle, and competitive landscape.
- Develop and maintain pricing models, tools, and systems to support pricing decisions and ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct regular pricing reviews and provide recommendations for pricing adjustments to drive revenue growth.
- Train and educate commerce teams on pricing strategies, policies, and tools to enhance their understanding and effectiveness.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes that may impact pricing strategies.
- Lead the pricing team (3 FTEs), coach and mentor its members and take an active role in their competence development.
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in pricing management, preferably in e-commerce or retail/FMCG industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and financial metrics.
- Proficient in using pricing software, financial modeling tools, and data analysis software.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey pricing strategies and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of market dynamics, competitive landscape, and customer behavior.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making processes.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of pricing regulations and compliance is a plus.
