Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire accounting process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards;
- Supervising external accounting team by coordinating, organizing, reviewing, and controlling all accounting matters;
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes, reconciliations, and financial audits;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and enhance efficiency;
- Liaising with (tax) advisors, lawyers, auditors and other professionals;
- Stay abreast of industry regulations and accounting principles, implementing best practices;
- Improving pro-actively accounting, reconciliation and operation process with a direction towards automation;
- Assist in projects where accounting expertise is needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation is highly preferred;
- Proven experience (3+ years) in a senior accountant role, with a track record of success in financial management. Preferably having international, Big4 or shared service centre experience;
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards;
- Analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Team leadership skills;
- Good time management and planning skills;
- Ability to work independently, be proactive, take ownership and responsibility;
- Good MS office skills different ERP systems experience would be an advantage;
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
