Credit Journey Tribe teams have a goal to disrupt traditional credit granting processes and put customers first by fast and transparent credit decisions. Some of the key aspects that will take us there, are automated decisions in the customer journey by working from a perspective of contributing to a standardized process and minimizing resources spend.

You will be part of an international team, working from our offices in Copenhagen, Vilnius and Warsaw. A team with a flat structure and informal atmosphere. Our focus is to have a good collaboration and enable the best in each other. You will be working in a collaborative Agile Squad, which brings together the best of expert knowledge to secure best standards for our solutions and increase end-to-end ownership.

We seek a strong leader and mentor interested in developing people and building high-performing Java teams. You should be a hands-on expert in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and AWS, who enjoys solving complex issues. You will bridge gaps between technical and business teams, ensuring alignment and understanding of goals, and take ownership of your teams deliveries. This role offers the chance to lead a team, drive innovation, and shape technical decisions in a rapidly changing environment.

Depending on your experience and knowledge, we may offer you a role at a different level of seniority.

You will:

  • Lead and mentor a team of Java software engineers, ensuring best coding practices, clean architecture, and high-quality software delivery
  • Establish and grow Java chapter by encouraging a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning
  • Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and guide developers in writing maintainable, efficient, and secure code
  • Collaborate with architects and other technical leaders to design scalable, robust and efficient Java-based applications
  • Drive Agile and DevOps best practices, improving CI/CD pipelines, test automation and deployment strategies
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and upskilling of Java developers to build a capable, high-performing team
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and create personalized development plans to help team members grow in their careers
  • Design, develop and optimize Java applications using AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS and S3 ensuring scalability and reliability

About you:

  • Strong (at least 4+ years) experience in Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks, with deep understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and microservices architecture
  • Practical experience with AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, S3 and IAM with knowledge of cloud best practices
  • Extensive experiences in leading and mentoring development teams, conducting performance reviews, and fostering professional growth
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and DevOps principles
  • Experience designing scalable, high-performance, and secure distributed systems using Java and cloud-native technologies
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues, drive technical decision-making, and effectively manage risks
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams, including product owners, business analysts, architects, and other stakeholders
  • Experience in hiring, onboarding, and developing Java engineers to build a high-performing development team
  • Upper-Intermediate English skills

We offer

Monthly salary range from 5200 EUR to 7800 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
