Job description
- Prepare and post journal entries for the month-end close process in Oracle.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliation in Blackline, clearing accounts, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data.
- Analyze large data sets, identify trends, and support data-driven decisions related to financial reporting and accounting processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Settlement operations, IT teams, Finance, GL accounting team) to ensure the accurate accounting of transactions and proper data flow.
- Assist in internal and external audit processes, provide required documentation, and respond to audit queries.
- Participate actively in process improvement initiatives and automation projects to enhance efficiency.
- Support the integration of new systems and help streamline accounting-related data processes.
Requirements
- Degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or related field.
- 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience with strong knowledge of credit/debit transactions.
- Solid English language skills (written and verbal).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced knowledge of pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
- Ability to analyze and handle large volumes of data in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a flexible, quick-learning attitude.
- Experience with Oracle EBS is a plus.
- Hands-on experience working with big data, databases, and data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Alteryx, Knime, Python, Excel Macros) is an advantage.
