Description
Business Travel Taxation is part of HR Services at Danske Bank and supports employees who travel across borders for work. Our responsibility is to ensure that business travel is handled correctly from a tax and compliance perspective and that employees receive clear guidance throughout the process.
While the role sits in HR Services, it depends heavily on understanding crossborder taxation logic (e.g. host vs. home country taxation, reporting triggers, timelines). The actual tax calculations and filings are handled by an external tax service provider while our team focuses on data coordination, process execution, and employee support.
We are now looking for a colleague who already has basic handson exposure to individual or crossborder taxation, for example, from a junior role in a tax advisory or tax services company, and would like to apply this knowledge in an inhouse HR Services environment.
In this role, you will work closely with HR Services, employees, and an external tax vendor. The role is operational and structured, but requires understanding “why” data is requested and how it impacts taxation between countries. Although this is not a tax advisor role but understanding taxation logic is essential.

You will
- Collect, validate and submit employee travel and payrollrelated information to the external tax service provider
- Coordinate process steps with the vendor to ensure tax reporting deadlines are met
- Apply basic crossborder taxation logic when reviewing data and responding to cases
- Track information related to tax payments and refunds
- Support employees by explaining the Business Travel Taxation process and resolving practical questions
- Act as a contact point between employees, HR, payroll, finance and the tax service provider
- Perform data quality checks and ensure accuracy and completeness
- Contribute to continuous improvements in the Business Travel Taxation process and employee experience
About you
- Experience in a junior-to-early-mid-level role at a tax advisory, tax compliance or global mobility services company
- Understand basic crossborder taxation principles (e.g. taxable presence, host vs. home country logic, reporting timelines)
- Comfortable working with data, documentation and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and quality mindset
- Serviceoriented and able to explain complex topics in a clear, practical way
- Enjoy coordination work rather than pure tax advisory
- Skilled at using Excel and managing structured data
- Upper-intermediate English skills (spoken and written)

Monthly salary range from 1880 EUR to 2820 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
