Who we are looking for:

You will be a team member of the European Finance team and will be based in the Vilnius office. The team provides financial support to the European business in the Netherlands, Germany and Lithuania and currently consists of 4 people (3 in The Netherlands and 1 in Germany). You will report directly to the Director Finance Europe located in the Netherlands.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting activities (Accounts Payable, taxes, etcetera) as well as preparing statutory reporting for the Lithuanian entity. In addition, you’re the Finance business partner to advise our colleagues in Lithuania on a broad number of finance related issues.

• Capable of multitasking and correlating information.

Responsbilities

• Ensuring compliance with all the statutory, tax and regulatory filings;
• Preparation of the statutory annual accounts and corporate income tax (CIT) filing;
• Preparation of the monthly VAT return;
• Managing the statutory and any other financial audits;
• Process supplier invoices;
• Billing monthly intercompany revenue;
• Assist in balance sheet reconciliation preparation and review;
• Improve and maintain compliance across the International finance team (AP, AR, Payroll, GL, Reporting, etc);
• Document and streamline any activities, simplify things, educate teams around controls and support compliance at all stages;
• Ad hoc analysis and projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Business Administration, Finance or similar;
• A minimum of 3-5 years of working experience, preferably in an international (consultancy) setting;
• Strong accounting and reporting skills;
• Knowledge and expertise in financial reporting, at least Lithuanian Business Accounting Standards;
• Tax experience in Lithuania (VAT, CIT and any other taxes);
• Well‐organized approach to work, ability to prioritize tasks, attention to details;;
• Advanced knowledge of Excel;
• Excellent oral and written command of Lithuanian and English;
• Experience with internal and external auditors;
• Ability to do standard accounting work like billing, supplier invoice processing, etcetera.
