You will operate within the Litigation department, which is part of the Legal Department. Every year, Western Union receives thousands of subpoenas and other compulsory requests (collectively, "subpoenas") for transaction data and other information.  Timely and accurate fulfilment of subpoenas is one of our many legal obligations.

This position is responsible for supervising and managing a team of Subpoena Specialists who receive and fulfil subpoenas for the company. You will classify and distribute subpoenas to your team based on complexity and language skills.  The successful candidate will have to use the judgement of how to handle escalations and complaints as well as determine appropriate contacts for various issues reaching the email box. You also will assist the manager in implementing process changes, monthly reports, and ad hoc projects.

As a Team Leader, you will provide mentoring and coaching for direct reports, conducting regular structured one-on-one meetings with team members and weekly team meetings as well. Also, you will prepare and follow through on employees' career development plans and organize team events. You will approve monthly payroll and vacation requests. Resource planning will be part of your routine as well.

You will use your strong interpersonal skills to communicate across all management and organizational levels with Western Union, as well as with a variety of different law enforcement, regulatory, government, and private organizations. In this position, your daily language will be English, and an additional language will be a plus. You are very organized and can multitask and work with constantly changing priorities while meeting deadlines. You have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and promote a positive company image. You are engaged in daily work and carry ownership of your work product. A high degree of professionalism and discretion when working with confidential and sensitive matters is required.

Previous people management experience (managing 7-10 employees) and knowledge of lean and agile working methodologies will make you a very competitive candidate. Applicants with solid job history and long-term career plans that can motivate and energize a team are highly desirable. We expect working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products and the ability to navigate a computerized data entry system.

The monthly gross base salary is from 1524 – 2246 EUR. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive an annual bonus that aligns with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, and competencies. Salary is one component of the Western Union total compensation package, which includes short-term incentives, multiple health insurance options, accident, and life insurance, and access to best-in-class development platforms, to name a few!
