ABOUT:
Are you looking to make a difference in a patient’s life? Strategic Staffing Solutions International client is a leading global healthcare company listed in the Fortune 500. Currently we are looking for EDI Analyst.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as a supplemental contact for any issues from our Customers/Suppliers technical groups
- Act as a supplemental EDI contact for suppliers, external customers, and internal business units
- Work with all parties involved in integrations as needed, including internal and external users, internal application owners as well as external parties we’re integrating with.
- Understand the project requirements from customers, suppliers, and internal business departments and be able to communicate them to the rest of the team.
- Resolve transaction processing issues and follow department reporting and communication procedures.
- Complete project functional requirements for EDI projects
- Assist with EDI development project testing
- Be an escalation point to resolve issues from suppliers, external customers and internal customers. Typical escalation points will be our business analysts, developers or 3rd party managed services, as applicable. This will include using internal and external ticket systems.
- Use alert notifications, reports and error logs to troubleshoot issues and remove blocks within the integration layers. This will require interaction with end user systems as well as middleware.
- Help maintain complete and accurate cross reference data in SQL and ERP applications and middleware.
- Hands-on analysis of payloads in different formats (e.g. JSON, XML, csv, X12 EDI).
REQUIREMENTS
- Good oral and written communication skills. (Especially over the phone talking with Providers and Trading Partners)
- Familiarity with HDA (Healthcare Distribution Alliance) and pharmaceutical distribution is a plus.
- Knowledgeable with ANSI X12 specifications, standards and formats typically used with customers, suppliers, warehouse partners and transportation providers
- Experience and knowledge with at least some or all Wholesaler based EDI messages (850, 810, 812, 844, 845, 849, 852, 867, 855, 856, 816, 920, 824, 864)
- Experience and knowledge with at least some or all Manufacturer based EDI messages (940, 943, 944, 945, 947, 846)
- Understanding, analyzing and troubleshooting XML and JSON messages.
- Experience with onboarding trading partners, vendors and/or third parties on all EDI transactions
- Experience with query languages (e.g. Microsoft SQL) is a plus
- Experience with SharePoint and Office
- EDI Production support experience in high volume or critical production service environment.
