Job Description
The Accountant, reporting to the CEO with a dotted line reporting to the Group Finance Manager, will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day accounting functions. The key responsibilities include:
• Taking control of all transactional matters, including posting vendor invoices, employee expenses, sales invoices, and bank transactions into finance platforms.
• Preparing and reviewing expense reports for accuracy and proper expense disclosure.
• Managing payroll processes.
• Running bank reconciliation reports for multi-currency accounts.
• Preparing and posting various journals, such as prepayments, accruals, cash entries, intercompany entries, and expenses.
• Handling Account Payable and Account Receivable functions, which involve reconciling accounts, preparing weekly payments, and monitoring AR status.
• Taking charge of month-end closing activities and ensuring timely and reliable monthly accounts package preparation.
• Maintaining department files and databases as appropriate.
• Providing various reports as needed.
• Compiling rolling budgets on a monthly basis, along with quarterly reforecasts and annual budgets.
About you
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills:
• Professional accounting qualification.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a similar position.
• Experience working with accounting software, preferably Microsoft D365 Finance, Microsoft Business Central, or Microsoft NAV.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver results within set deadlines.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, project coordination, and administration skills.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage workload effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
• High level of integrity, discretion, confidentiality, and accountability.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
• Motivation and willingness to learn and grow in the position.
• Experience in producing a full set of accounts from start to finish.
