To build our innovative Cloud Balances engine for Danske Bank we are looking for a team member who would be skilled in DBMS- intensive engineering and would also like to learn or grow in Cloud Java development.
To deliver on our vision we need bright minds and motivated proactive team members who could bring in or develop advanced DBMS-related engineering competencies within the team that would enable us to respond to future scalability, performance, availability and other challenges and keep up with best practices. You will be working together with friendly and skilled IT Engineers, Architects, Business Analysts and other colleagues in an empowered self-driven team which have a freedom to make and own decisions to innovate and deliver its products.

You will:
- Design and develop cloud-native systems which are at the heart of a major Nordic financial institution
- Design and improve teams DB systems to meet scalability, performance and availability goals as well as keep up with best practices
- Continuously develop yourself, teams capabilities, and ways of working
- Leverage technical freedom, make and own decisions to facilitate innovation and reliable deliveries
- Work with MS SQL, Java, Kafka, gRPC, REST, Kubernetes, and other cloud-native tools
- Build and be part of positive, collaborative, proactive, motivating, and productive team atmosphere
About you:
We are looking for an enthusiastic team member who is excited about engineering and has a personal interest in IT. Your willingness to grow professionally is the most important competence you bring.
To be more precise, we expect that you have:
- Proficiency in database design principles for scalability, availability, and performance
- Solid knowledge and hands-on experience with popular DB management systems and related tooling, preferably MS SQL
- Knowledge in Java (or willingness to learn it) and related engineering tools
- Ability to take ownership and responsibility to carry out deliveries in a structured manner
- Positive and proactive attitude, ability and motivation to learn
- Good communication skills and fluency in English (Advanced)
We are working with different tools, technologies, and platforms, so having some knowledge or experience with any of these would be useful:
- Knowledge of advanced MS SQL specifics
- Knowledge of messaging systems such as Kafka, MQ or similar
We offer
Monthly salary range from 3480 EUR to 5220 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
