Are you ready to embark on an exciting journey with Danske Bank and work with modern technologies in an exciting Observability domain? Look no further! We are looking for an experienced Service Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our dynamic team.

In Observability and Toolset Engineering [OTE] Team, we develop, build Observability solutions and standardized practices to ensure IT systems are efficient and reliable, saving time for infrastructure and software engineers.

We are looking for a team member with a deep technical background to develop Observability foundations in the Public Cloud Environment:

  • Discovery services – maintain a database containing insights about our infrastructure and applications, but let me ensure you, we are not doing that manually.
  • Enrichment services – not every platform or tool is spitting out data that makes sense. Using the database mentioned above, we add missing details to millions of events, logs, and metrics.
  • Streaming platform – ingest and transport vast amounts of data flowing from an entire portfolio of infrastructure platforms and applications. We are talking about millions of data points per second.
  • Event and Alert Management – ensure that Observability can provide meaningful insights and assist in handling any situation.
  • Visualization services – ensure that there is a way to consume those vast amounts of data in a human-readable and attractive way.

You will have the opportunity to learn and develop further on different technological stacks, such as Public Cloud [AWS], Containerization [OpenShift, Kubernetes] and observability while making a significant impact on critical IT system monitoring solution development and reliability improvements.

Depending on your experience and knowledge, we may offer you a different seniority of the role.

You will:

  • Embed SRE disciplines to ensure that Monitoring and Operational challenges are met with engineering methods and mindset
  • Open a next chapter in Observability journey, with expertise in the Public Cloud domain
  • Join and guide the OTE team to achieve goals as a team member and as an individual contributor
  • Create the next challenges for OTE and lead the development of observability infrastructure, tools, and practices
  • Introduce a change in basic assumptions from a traditional Monitoring setup to a modern organization
  • Collaborate closely with the Platform and Software engineers in infrastructure and application teams with plenty of opportunities to upskill your technical knowledge

About you:

  • 5+ years of experience working in a Software, Infrastructure or Observability Domain
  • Experience with Public Cloud infrastructure [AWS]
  • Hands on experience with CI/CD, DevOps methodologies
  • Experience with Observability and Monitoring toolsets (Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Tracing, etc.)
  • Experience and working knowledge of some or all the following: Chef, Ansible, GitHub, OpenShift, Containerization, ADO (Azure DevOps), Argo-CD
  • Cross technical domain knowledge and willingness to expand depth and breadth of expertise in infrastructure and application domains
  • Solid proven analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Upper-Intermediate English language skills

We offer

Monthly salary range from 4480 EUR to 6720 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
