Summary: 
 Dexcoms Global Product Design (GPD) is a multi-disciplinary team of user experience designers, visual designers, front-end software developers, prototype developers, instructional content designers and industrial designers who support the Dexcom product portfolio. Dexcom uses software prototypes as a part of design, research and testing. As a Software Development Engineer, you will help build and maintain a portfolio of prototypes in addition to supporting the development and growth of our Design System components. 
 
About the Role: 
  • Producing best-in-class product design. Pushing the boundaries of whats been achieved in the healthcare field.  
  • Implementing requirements on Flutter, iOS and Android-based prototypes.
  • Delivering prototype features that mirror the intended native app experience.
  • Following internal software development and documentation processes. 
  • Leveraging and contributing to our Design System for consistency across our product portfolio. 
  • Collaborating with designers, stakeholders, and partners to develop design concepts, strategies and solutions.  
  • Owning the results. Be accountable for the product and design decisions. 
  • Advocating for our users. Represent the voice of people with diabetes, healthcare providers, and others who support them. 
  • Being a design diplomat. Socializing ideas with stakeholders and design partners to gain alignment. Being willing to compromise to find a mutually agreeable solution.  
 
About You: 
  • 5+ years of experience as a front-end software developer. 
  • Proven track record in mobile development in medium and large-scale projects and teams. 
  • Experience in Version Control, specifically Git. 
  • Experience with semantic versioning and dependency managers like NPM, Pip, NuGet, Gradle, Maven, Homebrew, CocoaPods or Swift Package Manager. 
  • Knowledge of state management and common frontend design patterns. 
  • Experience working with product designers, understanding product intent, and translating design files into functioning code.  
  • Strong understanding of iOS and Android design principles and application interface guidelines. 
  • Experience in contributing to an SDK system for managing and deploying design system elements across the prototype portfolio 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on writing high-quality, readable and maintainable code with a high drive for automation. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into understandable terms for less technical team members. 
  • Experience in Angular / Cordova / Iconic / Capacitor is a plus.

Monthly base salary for this position is from €4,157.92 to €4,891.67 gross. Final offer will depend on your qualifications, competencies, and professional experience.
