Job description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with a proven track record of managing finance, preparing financial reports, and implementing sound accounting practices. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable / receivable, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Mentor and develop junior colleagues, fostering a high-performing team culture.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations, with expertise in Lithuanian GAAP (IFRS accounting standards considered a plus).
- Proficiency in using ERP systems (experience with BSS ERP is a plus).
- A proactive personality with a drive to push things forward.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Fluency in Lithuanian and good commands of English.
- At least a BSc in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
