Job description
The Accounts Payable Accountant ensures timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices, reimbursements, and advances, meeting the teams quality standards. They maintain efficiency by promptly handling all accounts payable tasks and addressing internal and external queries, consistently demonstrating the organizations core values and accountability.
Key responsibilities:
- Review supplier invoices for completeness and validity before processing.
- Match invoices/credit notes with Purchase Orders and Goods received.
- Post payments in Open Accounts before making payments.
- Prepare and analyse payment proposals and batch files for business units.
- Ensure timely and accurate supplier payments according to agreed terms.
- Investigate and resolve internal/external customer and supplier issues.
- Review and audit transactions for compliance with policies and regulations.
- Prepare data for audits and support auditors.
- Maintain vendor master data (creation and amendments).
- Participate in month-end closing and internal control activities.
- Support new projects and system implementations.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related fields.
- Minimum 2 years of general experience.
- At least 1 year of experience in Accounts Payable.
- Proficiency in Lithuanian and basic English (A2 level).
- Knowledge of SAP, Navision, Concur, Basware, Coupa, and Manage Engine is an advantage.
- Experience in Shared Services and Automotive sector is valued.
- Experience working in multinational and multicultural environments.
