Job information
Reporting to the Head of Infrastructure Architects, this role is pivotal in supporting the fast pace of growth and transformation across the Group with a particular focus as we grow through acquisition. Running a team of architects and systems engineers, specifically you will:
- Be accountable for establishing and leading the strategic technology roadmap in line with application strategy to meet business requirements.
- Design and deliver IT solutions to meet business requirements, ensuring alignment to the IT strategy and standards across the Group.
- Lead and guide multiple systems projects, guiding and supporting the IT teams to deliver, ensuring standards are met and are fully compliant.
- Prioritise the technology roadmap based on business value, and to drive the creation of business cases for IT investments in business language.
- Lead external partnerships with third-party vendors and suppliers.
- Partner with the software architect team to adapt infrastructure to meet business needs.
- Define new infrastructure security standards for new applications whether they are Cloud-based or on-premise.
- Ensure all new components and solutions are fully defined and documented.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practice across IT teams.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of IT experience in financial services or similar industry, as an architect or senior engineer.
- Architecture Certification (TOGAF, CITA, EACOE, Certified SOA Architect, etc.).
- Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including server and client OS, Active Directory and SQL. Experience in implementing Microsoft cloud solutions (Azure, Office 365).
- A track record of implementing or managing datacenters and virtual environments.
- Technical knowledge of network related technologies and Citrix solutions.
- Fluency in English is a pre-requisite.
