We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Business Analyst or Analyst to our Trade Support team, handling derivatives, static data and reconciliations. Our top priority is to deliver high value with high integrity to our stakeholders, in a dynamic and Nordic environment.
You will be able to influence the way we do things, to optimize and develop our core processes.
Trade Support, within Markets Solutions and Reporting, is the supporting unit within derivatives trading and risk managing, in Large Corporates & Institutions area.
We aim to set an example on how cross-functional teams should apply agile-at-scale to deliver innovation – here in Vilnius, we are establishing a Hub in the LC&I Satellite, where different parts of the value chain are sitting together to enable even close collaboration and co-creation. The LC&I Satellite is a remote hub for global business unit serving the largest Danske Bank corporate & institutional customers & prospects. We work in a global team’s setup where cross-country competences are combined to support our customers’ needs in many areas as transaction banking, asset management, research & data analytics, sales consultancy, etc. LC&I Satellite is a local embassy (currently ~70 professionals) for global business with great growth ambitions.
You will have 11 colleagues in Copenhagen, Denmark, and be a part of an expanding 3-person team in Vilnius team.
It is absolute crucial we have fun when juggling with large numbers and spreadsheets! Therefore we are having i.e. multiple checkins on a daily basis to work closely together (also discussing other than work-related stuff), “Friday Bars” with what distance and COVID-19 allows, Teams team-lunches and the likes. When the world opens again, we will meet up physically, first time possible!
Depending on your experience and knowledge we may offer you a different seniority of the role.
Skills
- +2 years of financial experience: can be with experience from the banking industry, preferably with derivatives (Swaps, Swaptions, FX Options, FRA, Cap/Floors etc)
- You have a risk-like mind-set, and a strong interest in working with financial derivatives and the details within, in a structured and analytical way
- Strong in MS Office tools, especially Excel
- Having VBA, SQL knowledge (not a must)
- Analytical thinking and data orientation
- You are a team player, self-driven, result oriented, accurate, and confident in making decisions and thriving in a fast paced environment
- You are fluent in English
Mission
Main tasks:
- Working close to the front office in the derivatives trading value chain, with direct impact on customer experience
- Ensuring correctness of trades and keep a high integrity towards internal and external stakeholders (moved up)
- Reconciliations between trading and bookkeeping systems
- Handling static data and internal mappings between internal and external systems
- Development and improvement of daily processes and procedures
- Handling XVA (CVA, FVA ColVA) and KVA checks and controls
- Keep learning and expand you knowledge base, to become subject matter expert on our area
- Have fun while doing great stuff!
The typical day:
- 20-40% daily support to colleagues in Copenhagen and trades on dealing floor in all countries where Danske Bank has dealers.
- 20-40% static data and reconciliation handling
- 20-40% optimization (investigating and executing on new initiatives of automation possibilities)
- 0-20% other projects, stakeholder management, reading/updating SOP’s, process descriptions etc.
