DATA ANALYST IN TRADE SURVEILLANCE OPERATIONS

Nasdaq is currently seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join our Trade Surveillance Operations Team in Vilnius. Nasdaq’s SMARTS Trade Surveillance service powers surveillance and compliance for over 150 market participants across 65 markets globally. 

Scalable to millions of transactions and flexible to manage a number of unique data sources, SMARTS Surveillance holistically examines scenarios across multiple venues and asset classes.

The team consists of Business Analysts and Market Integration specialists. The Trade Surveillance Operations team is responsible for supporting the operations of the SMARTS Trade Surveillance business i.e. ensuring stock exchange and client trading data files are received, readable and can be processed for client consumption. In addition, the team is managing all reported client data issues and incidents, managing the problem through the resolution.

Your role and responsibilities:
You will play a key role in delivering excellent service to Nasdaq’s clients through incident management, accountability, prevention and timely detailed communication.

- Prioritize and manage all reported stock exchange/trading activity data issues via an internal ticketing system (JIRA)
- Investigate and resolve all reported stock exchange/trading activity data issues using Linux and other server/data management tools
- Coordinate with global teams to schedule releases of the product after bug fixes
- Work with continual service improvement to reduce the number of reported issues and improve our client experience

We expect you to have:
- Previously worked within a Linux environment
- Experience in troubleshooting data issues, data conversion and manipulation
- Some experience working in a globally distributed team
- A strong drive for Data Analytics

It would be great if you also have:
- Knowledge of market data, trading data and protocols would be considered an advantage
- Previous experience in a similar position, preferably from a trading/financial services industry
- Previously worked with data extraction
- Interest in developing your Linux Environment knowledge

Monthly salary (Gross): 2400 – 3000 Eur.

A valid working permit for the EU is mandatory.
