Description
We are setting up an entity in Lithuania and are currently looking for a Compliance Officer/MLRO in Lithuania. Initially, the main objective of the role will be assisting us with EMI license acquisition and further will develop into a full scale Compliance Officer position.

Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day operation of the Compliance function (maintain a suite of compliance management reports to help monitor and review compliance with applicable regulations and risks. Making sure that the company business is in line with all current Lithuanian and EU regulations).
Assist with the preparation of the compliance reports on a routine basis to the Board including recommendations as applicable.
Be the first point of contact for all regulatory compliance issues and queries in the Lithuanian office and provide advice and support to first-line/operations teams in other jurisdictions.
Work in conjunction with the MLRO in developing, implementing and maintaining AML policies of the Company to ensure their consistency with all applicable local laws and regulations and that the AML program is updated, as required, in light of changes to local laws and regulations.
Work closely with the HMLRO and the team to continuously assess product, compliance, and operational risks, adequacy and effectiveness of internal systems of control and develop risk management strategies for the organisation.

Requirements
Bachelor's or above degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance or related fields.
Lithuanian mother tongue
Fluency in English
3+ years' relevant working experience as compliance officer in a Lithuanian financial services institution. Working knowledge of the FinTech industry and/or payments services is an advantage.
Understand and have continuing knowledge of all local and EU regulatory requirements.
Experience communicating with regulators and assisting with regulatory enquiries.
Ownership mindset - caring about seeing projects through from start to finish.
An enthusiastic and positive person with a can-do mentality — you consider no task too small.
