As a Core Compliance Officer, with the oversight of Head of Compliance and together with competent team of legal officers and other colleagues, you will have to ensure that Bankera is conducting its business in full compliance with all national and international laws and regulations that pertain to fintech industry, as well as professional standards, accepted business practices and internal company standards. You will work with management and staff to identify regulatory risk and to propose possible solutions.
You should find it interesting to:
- Analyse national and international legal acts related to financial sector regulation
- Perform various legal tasks, such as legal analysis and advice to your colleagues and management
- Draft internal legal documents, for example policies and procedures
- Draft and review agreements
- Perform monitoring tasks (2nd line of defence), including together with the risk management unit assess the compliance of different products
- Contribute to the development of internal procedures to address compliance gaps identified during internal and external audits
- Prepare and oversee a map of company documents
- Challenge status quo and think out-of-the-box for ways to bridge the gap between legacy legal requirements and the modern needs of business
We would love you to have:
- Work experience in compliance field in financial institution
- University degree in Law (or other areas related to legal analysis and risk management)
- Understanding of Lithuanian and European financial sector regulation
- Fluency in English
- Good analytical skills and ability to interpret complex documents and policies
- Strong time management and organizational skills and able to meet deadlines
- Strong moral code and sense of ethics
