Nasdaq team is looking for a Java Software Developer to join our team and expand their expertise while working on real-life technology challenges.

Nasdaq powers numerous leading Financial Markets around the world. With every iteration of our high-end trading, clearing and trade surveillance solutions we make sure it is of superb quality. Therefore, we have a long backlog of technical solutions to implement and make sure they stand to the highest expectations of modern Financial and IT market.

For this role we are looking for Java developers with at least a few years of hands-on experience who would have some knowledge or would like to learn more about Microservice and Event Driven Architecture, Enterprise Integration Patterns and building Cloud-native SaaS applications.

What you will do:

• Roll up your sleeves and write good and concise code. Java mainly.
• Continuously learn and apply Software Design Patterns, emerging best practices, and new frameworks. We expect you to be willing to stay on the technological edge without any additional motivation.
• Always test what you implement and write Unit tests first.
• Take over and share domain and technical areas of expertise with people within and outside the team.
• Listen, think, and speak up. Your opinion is and will be valued from day one.
• Use Git for everything you work on.
• Learn and apply your knowledge of best CI/CD practices.
• Develop everything with deployment in the cloud in mind. Every application should be run as a Kubernetes Pod. If you don’t have much experience – we will provide all the learning material and support, but we expect you to become an advocate of SaaS and Cloud-first approach.
• Coach and help others. Even if you work remotely, we still expect you to collaborate with others daily.
• Stay optimistic and persistent.
