MAIN DUTIES

  • As an Operational Contracts and Cost Controller you will lead the OPS department activities in terms of contract agreement administrations, cost negotiations, and invoice control;
  • Liaise closely with Operational department managers and supervisors for various operational needs that may have arisen from the contracted provider's service or cost issues;
  • Monitoring the existing contracts, reviewing contract terms and conditions, and applying the necessary cost control principles to optimize financial outcomes;
  • Build a strong partnership with operations to make sure that cost goals are met;
  • Generate cost reports including budget/contingency tracking, cost forecast, and cost curve variance of planned vs actual;
  • Assists in tracking financial results and managing the budget;
  • Develop cost estimates, including conceptual estimates, change order estimates, and other estimates as defined;
  • Develop cost report templates, as needed, prepare and issue budget/cost and change management reports;
  • Produce regular budget/cost reports, including current status, forecast at completion, and variance versus baseline budget;
  • Create and maintain monthly reports to accurately reflect current budgets, encumbrances, invoices, and committed costs, cost-to-complete estimates, budget variances, cash flow projections, and schedule of values ;
  • Provide design and construction cost and schedule management analysis in support of multiple projects;
  • Documents and implements policies and procedures to ensure strong internal cost controls and maintain a responsibility to monitor and communicate any control violations to management;
  • Managing follow up action for any amendment to agreements or invoice disputes;
  • Assist in building the departmental budget and support process improvement initiatives.

 

LET'S TALK ABOUT YOU

  • Must have at least ten (10) years of significant cost control experience on large programs or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  •  A degree in business administration, finance (or equivalent) is essential for this role;
  • Excellent professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Negotiation skills, SGHA Concept Knowledge, Intermediate Financial Skills;
  • Previous experience or exposure to the technical, operational, and business aspects of airline operations is essential for this role;
  • Experience with data analytics and BIM software is preferred;
  • Demonstrated success in driving innovation and change related to cost efficiency;
  • Knowledge of project-based software tools and cost management software;
  • Previous experience with financial analysis, business case development, and contract management is essential for this role;
  • Ability to explore and work with third parties to identify partnership opportunities to drive cost efficiency projects;
  • Demonstrated skill in the use of independent judgment and self-starting actions.
