We are looking for a Compliance/Legal Officer to join us in Witty Global UAB.

We are looking for a Compliance Officer to join our Company who would be eager to grow and improve skills in the compliance area. Compliance Officer as a second line of defense risk owner shall be a part of the Compliance department team reporting and providing support to the Head of Compliance and responsible for managing operational risks such as AML/CFT, fraud, consumer protection, outsourcing, data protection and similar.

Responsibilities:
• Implement and manage an effective legal compliance program;
• Develop and review company policies;
• Advise management on the company’s compliance with laws and regulations through detailed reports;
• Create and manage effective action plans in response to audit discoveries and compliance violations;
• Regularly audit company procedures, practices, and documents to identify possible weaknesses or risks;
• identifying and assessing the compliance/ operational risks, as well as identifying and implementing preventative measures to manage such risks;
• analysing proposed modifications to legal regulation, preparing to implement the new requirements;
• organising trainings to the Company’s employees on the Company’s rules and internal procedures,
• assisting the Company’s employees in implementing such rules, routinely checking whether the Company’s employees know the internal rules and procedures well enough and apply them appropriately;
• Performing monitoring projects over the first line of defence;
• Overseeing the implementation of the monitoring projects recommendations;
• investigating all legal or procedural non-compliance and report on them;
• providing consultations on compliance/operational risks concerning new products, processes and services, specific events, business decisions of the Company, the effect and application of regulations relating to compliance;
• Assessing whether the Company complies with the requirements of the applicable legal regulations and internal rules of the Company;
• identifying the need for changes in the internal regulation of the Company’s operations related to compliance processes: finding regulatory gaps, including those resulting from relevant changes in the legal regulation;
• registering and reporting about identified violations of the Company’s internal documents and regulations and on the significant compliance breaches;
• assisting the Head of Compliance with daily compliance tasks.

Skills and Qualifications:
• Degree in Law or experience and knowledge of legal matters;
• 2-3 years of experience in compliance area;
• experience in the financial sector would be an advantage;
• Fluent English and Lithuanian language skills (spoken and written);
• Problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to analyse complex information, identify and communicate the key issue;
• Team player attitude with will to contribute to positive atmosphere;
• Initiative to work in a start-up with spirit of proactiveness, great self motivation and experience in working with minimal supervision;
• Strong communication skills.
