DEVELOPMENT CHEMIST/ ENGINEER

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Development Chemist/Engineer to join our R&D team, working within the Lithuanian Technical Department.

This role will require working as part of a cross functional team, taking a hands on role in the processing and investigation of development materials.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of polymer/materials science and a positive can-do attitude.


Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):

• Operation of polymer processing equipment
• Evaluation of different types of polymers for use in Intersurgical products
• Assess processing of trial materials during injection moulding and extrusion
• Liaise with equipment suppliers re process optimisation
• Take a hands on role in the execution of trials
• Investigate suitability of materials via chemical and physical analysis

Essential Qualifications:

• A degree in chemistry or a related science
The role would suit a new graduate or someone with a few years industrial experience


Experience in any of the following would be an advantage:

• Running polymer processing equipment
• Familiarity with polymer analysis techniques (GPC/DSC/TGA/Rheology)
• Polymer science R&D
