We are a leading supplier of integrated automated technology, software and services to optimize the supply chain and we are looking to hire a Software Manager to lead, support and grow our Lithuania Software Team.

You will be a part of EMEA software management team, and you’ll be acting as a direct manager for Software Team in Kaunas, Lithuania.
Your mission - people management, resource distribution, technical and professional team support, growth and development of your team. You will have a freedom to implement new ideas and processes, initiate and manage the growth of Lithuania team.

Your team: team consists of 20 software developers, 14 software commissioning engineers and 3 Team Leads who will be reporting to you.

• Lead LT department of software development, test, and commissioning.
• Identify capabilities of each team member and allocate them to their best-match project.
• Ensure an effective development planning and professional growth opportunities for your team members.
• Mentor, support and develop the software team and ensure they have tools needed to perform effectively.
• Organise appropriate training and ensure technical and problem-solving support to your team.
• Drive the recruitment process to build a strong regional team and ensure continuing growth of the department.
• Communicate and maintain a good relationship with other departments and customers to ensure high-quality service and cost-efficient solutions.
• Business Trips across the EU to support the role – approx. 10-15% per year.

• 3+ years of proven experience in software development and team management.
• Degree level qualification in IT or related field.
• Experience in Java programming.
• Analytical mindset, can-do attitude, customer and cost focused.
• Confident in making important business and team decisions.
• Proven track record to thrive in cross-functional, global environment.
• Knowledge of how to manage budgets and resources.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Full working proficiency in English.
