Requirements for candidates
- Good theoretical base in DevOps practices like CI/CD, SRE, IaC, observability, Continuous Everything
- Experience writing Jenkins pipelines using Groovy
- Experience with build tools (Gradle, Maven, SBT, NPM or others)
- Extensive experience with Git
- Experience working with Docker - building, maintaining, executing Docker images
- Kubernetes system architecture knowledge and experience in building and maintaining
- Kubernetes-based configurations
- Experience with microservices based and event-driven architectures
- Good Linux OS administration knowledge and experience
- Experience with Ansible and Helm
- Java ecosystem knowledge
- Experience with obeservability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK)
- Knowledge of using SonarQube and Nexus
- An open mind and pro-active approach to any obstacles we may face
- A willingness to learn and contribute to our DevOps team future
Bonus points if you have: - Experience with SQL and non-SQL databases
- Experience with AWS or Azure cloud services
- Experience with Terraform and AWS CloudFormation
- DevSecOps experience
- Some history of IT community work - conferences, meetups etc.
- Mentoring or team leading experience
Job description
The DevOps Engineer- CICD combines software development and continuous integration practices of new software solutions within a large-scale enterprise Java EE application architecture. The Senior DevOps engineer will be working with a team of highly talented software development professionals and will be responsible for support and development of new processes and tools which ensures successful and effective integration of fully functional and efficient software working product.
Key responsibilities
- Improve the existing CI/CD process (Jenkins) and Kubernetes platform usage for development and release
- Collaborating with development teams during product implementation
- Constantly challenge the existing practices to propose improvements
