Job description

Design, implementation and operation (e.g. troubleshooting) of infrastructure (as code) for cloud-based services
Automation of development, test and application processes
Active participation in the further development of our monitoring processes and infrastructure (Alerting, APM)
Active participation in the further development of our continuous integration and deployment processes and infrastructure
Participation (virtual or in person) in planning meetings for coordination between the Scrum teams
Independent and joint development of solutions for complex problems
Software development for cloud-based services

Requirements

Degree in computer science or comparable qualification and relevant professional experience as a software developer
At least 2 years of experience working with at least one programming language
Expert (recognized authority) on infrastructure as code and desired state/configuration management solutions, especially Terraform (in the AWS environment), Ansible and/or Puppet
Experience (practical application and applied theory) with the public cloud offerings from AWS, Kubernetes (AWS EKS) and Docker
Intermediate experience (practical application) with Continuous Monitoring, APM (e. g. New Relic, AWS CloudWatch Metrics, X-Ray) and logging (e. g. ELK, AWS CloudWatch Logs)
Intermediate experience in working with Jenkins desirable
Experience (practical application and applied theory) in developing and testing PHP (8.X), Python (3.X) or Java (e. g. Spring Boot) applications desirable
Intermediate experience (practical application) in the area of development with / integration of authentication and authorization / solutions / protocols desirable
Intermediate experience (practical application) in the field of NoSQL and relational databases is desirable
Responsible, independent and solution-oriented working style that is based on an overall understanding of the respective problems
Practical experience in the application of agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum or XP)
Very good spoken and written English
Willingness to further establish DevOps culture
Passion for clean code and the agenda of the Software Craftsmanship Manifesto
