Job description

As a Compliance Control Expert for ICT area, you will act as part of Luminors second line of defense and will independently monitor, assess, challenge, report and advise on the management of compliance risk related to information and communication technology. You will work closely on complex tasks with various stakeholders across Luminor, including other Luminor internal control functions and team members, to understand holistic ICT compliance risk map, assess and challenge existing ICT governance, IT processes and their design as well as effectiveness of controls, identify compliance gaps and areas of attention, and provide recommendations for management of compliance risk in line with the supervisory expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Contributing to building regulatory compliance in ICT area through independent compliance risk assessment and compliance advisory, assurance and awareness raising activities
  • Assessing, overseeing and challenging ICT governance, processes and controls designed and implemented by the first line of defense to manage compliance risk in the area
  • Understanding the regulatory environment, emerging trends, regulatory focus and supervisory expectations to support proper compliance risk management
  • Providing advice and guidance with respect to the regulatory requirements applicable to ICT area and on redesign of the relevant frameworks, processes and controls to ensure their effectiveness and conformity with the regulations
  • Monitoring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations and following-up on implementation of remediating actions
  • Overseeing various IT development and regulatory compliance projects in the assigned area
  • Conducting trainings and other awareness raising activities on regulatory requirements
  • Providing strategic insight, support and guidance to Luminors management bodies and contributing to independent compliance risk reporting

 

Requirements

  • Higher education, degree level in a technical or economic subject area
  • 4+ years of overall experience in ICT (e.g., in IT development, administration or an IT risk area), preferably in the banking sector. Previous work in compliance or IT audit would be seen as an advantage
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of ICT processes, regulatory requirements pertaining to ICT risk and information security, and experience in their implementation
  • Exposure to and at least basic understanding of organizational ICT frameworks, policies, procedures
  • Experience of, or at least some exposure to ICT development projects and project management
  • Experience in working with ICT service providers (including auditing of ICT service providers) would be seen as an advantage
  • Professional certifications (CISA, ITIL or similar) would be seen as an advantage
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, ability to effectively communicate information to audiences with varying levels of knowledge and expertise
  • Ability to think outside-the-box, view the wider organizational risk picture and how different risks interconnect with one another
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team on a pan-Baltic level
  • High degree of English language competency, written and spoken
