The Role / Responsibilities

The AVP HR Project Manager will be responsible for supporting and in some instances leading global and regional HR projects for M&A globally. This will include tracking and support of HR due diligence and well as integration planning and execution for company integrations.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate HR due diligence phase for assessing potential target acquisitions: set up weekly meetings and track completion of analysis by HR functions: Benefits, Compensation, Global Mobility, Employment Legal, HR Regional & Talent Partners, HRIS.
  • Validate and summarize input from HR functions to create HR Due Diligence executive summary.
  • At completion of due diligence and based upon findings, gather cost estimates across HR functions to create expected HR integration budget and develop high level integration plans.
  • Upon closing of deals, mobilize HR working group: confirm participants with functions and set up weekly meetings, frequency may be increased as needed dependent upon timelines.
  • Build HR integration project plan based on input from HR functions and discussions at weekly meetings. In developing the plan, various factors such as cost, complexity and local labor regulations must be considered.
  • Provide timely integration status reports to HR Management and Integration Steerco.
  • Identify and flag project delivery risks; proactively manage project plan to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Based on learning from each integration provide input to implement tools and techniques to enhance the HR integration processes and drive efficiency while focusing on the employee experience of the acquired companies.
  • Manages relationships with HR functions as well as other Moody’s functions including Compliance, IT, Finance and Moody’s business leaders to ensure HR integration deliverables are consistent with Moody’s policies.
  • Develops and maintains M&A methodology, templates, and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree. Advanced degree preferable.
  • 5+ years of experience in HR preferably with experience in one of more of the following areas: M&A Integration, Organizational Change Management, Business Adoption or Transformation.
  • Previous experience in HR Operations and/or HR integration supporting Mergers & Acquisitions a strong plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excel, Project, PowerPoint.
  • Capable and confident communicator - excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to translate insight into content, create slide or written presentations, create overall communication plans.
  • Highly organized with strong analytic skills and attention to detail.
  • A track record of exceptional partnering across a wide array of internal business groups, executive stakeholders and execution partners with ability to build solid relationships with individuals at all levels.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and navigate uncertain situations to drive for clarity; work calmly and maintain good judgment in fast-paced, high-speed environment.
  • A team player, with the courage to drive accountability and results while maintaining a respect for the team.
