The Role / Responsibilities

The Sustainability function leads the corporate efforts including Moody’s Environmental performance and commitments, and sustainability reporting.

Support Moody’s efforts to advance its agenda through partnerships helping to develop and drive the Global Sustainability partnership strategy:

  • Identify ways to leverage partnership opportunities at the corporate level and across business lines
  • Ensure that the value of our partnership engagements are tracked, measured and fully realized
  • Develop partner insights to help inform our enterprise wide sustainability strategy
  • Collaborate across the business to ensure functions fully leverage our partnerships and platforms
  • Manage several partnerships including identification of key speakers at partner meetings and external events
  • Integrate sustainability advocacy objectives into partnership plans
  • Partner with communications to innovate toolkits and assets that will accelerate industry and stakeholder engagement
  • Partner with Government & Public Affairs to identify and vet campaign initiatives and platform opportunities that align with our sustainability advocacy agenda
  • Set-up custom KPIs and targets in the system as needed
  • Assist as needed in the implementation of the sustainability strategy

Qualifications

  • Experience working with external stakeholders and building partnership relationships
  • Solid verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills
  • Ability to work in a global setting to deliver results
  • Familiar with sustainability issues, positions, trends and with sustainability organizations
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Attention to detail is a must
  • Ability to perform trend analysis and modelling in order to provide recommendations
  • Strong ability to meet project deadlines and cadence
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, as well as interpersonal skills, in order to effectively build relationships with multiple internal stakeholders
  • Ability to work autonomously while keeping management apprised of projects
  • Fluent in written and spoken English a must
  • Experience in sustainability is a significant plus
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a data management related field such as Business, Engineering, IT, Sustainability (or equivalent) from an accredited college/university
