Job description
- Lead the process for EMI license acquisition, with the support of the group Compliance team (based in Bulgaria) and our Vilnius based consultants.
- Understand local and EU compliance requirements to ensure that all products and services are implemented and is consistent with all applicable local laws and regulations such as the Bank of Lithuania rules and guidance, AML/CTF laws and etc.
- Design, implement and lead robust and commercialy focus Risk and Compliance Strategy.
- Provide oversight, risk management, control, support and coordination for AML compliance including money-laundering detection; investigate and provide analysis of any suspicious transactions in accordance with AML regulations; oversee the appropriate record-keeping functions; and make all appropriate filings, and act as the regulators’ primary point of contact.
- Conduct due diligence on new business customer applications, establish and direct ongoing monitoring activities for those applications based upon risk.
- Oversee the management of LT based compliance staff, including hiring, training, coaching & development.
Requirements
- Degree in Law, Finance, Economics, Business Management or relevant.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in MLRO or AML/CTF compliance area within the regulated Fintech industry.
- CAMS, ICA or equal certification preferred.
- Good reputation and immaculate track record (as candidate is subject to approval by the Bank of Lithuania).
- Effective communication skills.
- Fluent in Lithuanian and English (both in speaking and writing).
