Job description
The SAP BW Senior data engineer is responsible for design, implementation and support of global BW solutions using current technologies.
Key responsibilities willinclude:
- Establishment of Enterprise Data Warehouse solutions on the basis ofSAP BW/4HANA
- Managingand improvingthe ETL processing, modelling and building new data flowsto meet businessinformationneeds
- Participatinginall phases ofbusiness intelligence projectsand supporting the existing business as usual activities
- Ensuring thatbusiness intelligencebestpractices and methodologies are being used across projects andprocesses
- Depending on expertise, act asanadvisor forbusiness intelligence, analytics tools,data pipeline and data warehousingquestions
- Ensuringquality assurance anddata security best practices across business intelligence systems
- Collaborate with team while assigning tasks
Requirements
- You have experience withSAP BW(on HANA) and/orSAP BW/4HANA(Preferably possess related certifications)
- Solid data warehousing and ETL development experience
- Exposure to both SAP and non-SAP source system landscapes
- SQL proficiency and solid understanding of data structures, relations, data flows and database modelling and design
- SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP BO and / or MS Power BI functionality awareness is an advantage
- Solid understanding of SAPS/4HANAEmbedded Analytics functionality and positioning
- Solid understanding of current data warehousing best practices and trends. Good awareness of data reporting, visualization and dashboarding. Advantage, if you have awareness of Service Oriented Architecture, Master Data Management and automated data management solutions
