MOGO Kenya is part of Eleving Group – an international FinTech company with a vast reach across the globe and a strong online presence.
Our mission is to enable upward social mobility for people in diverse communities around the world by providing entrepreneurs who are excluded from traditional banking systems, access to credit. By combining asset financing, fintech, AI-based underwriting, and proprietary car portals, MOGO Kenya enables these local entrepreneurs (motorcycle taxi riders, Uber/Bolt drivers, and small business owners) to find and purchase their own vehicles.
We are looking for a Chief Marketing Officer with a strong product and marketing strategy background who would lead overall marketing and product strategy.
What you will do:
- Build, plan and implement the overall marketing strategy (both online & offline) in Kenya and Uganda
- Draw up a marketing budget and control its fulfillment (0.5M+ per year)
Lead internal marketing team (marketing managers, designer) and external partners (digital & PR agencies) - Collaborate with other teams ensuring all the marketing activities/plans are aligned between all stakeholders
- Manage commercial development and improvement of existing & new products/product lines
- Monitor and forecast marketing/sales trends & highlight opportunities for new initiatives
What you will need:
- You have 2+ years of hands-on experience in product or marketing management, preferably in the financial sector
- Hands-on experience with Google Ads, Facebook campaigns, and similar tools
- Getting things done mindset
- Performance-oriented business thinking & analytical mindset
- Excellent MS Excel skills
- Fluent in English
- Willingness to relocate to Nairobi, Kenya
