Job description
- work with the Management team and ensure that the underwriting function complies with the goals, objectives and standards of #Balcia and meets customer satisfaction
- develop, improve and implement guidelines for the underwriting function and analytical processes
- carry out assessments of large and non-standard risks, setting underwriting conditions and premiums
- draw up quotes for competitive insurance premiums for major contracts
- perform screening of risk processes in the company
- ensure that all decisions meet legal, compliance and policy requirements
- negotiate and define the specific terms of insurance policies with partners and clients
- keep detailed records of policies underwritten and decisions made
Requirements
- 5+ years of insurance underwriting experience (experience in high-quality development, administration and control of insurance products)
- Ability to analyze market information, develop and implement strategies and tactics for underwriting products
- Knowledge of insurance products and ability to be responsible for compliance with all requirements and rules related to entering into contracts
- Ability to manage activities and cooperation aimed at introducing products in the market and meeting objectives
- Hands-on experience with various risk assessment methods, analytical tools, and statistical packages (spreadsheets, SPSS, databases, etc.)
- Proven numeracy and statistical skills
- Insurance product competence (in Commercial Property or General Civil Liability)
- Advanced verbal and written English Language skills
NICE TO HAVE:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, actuarial science, finance, business law or accounting
- Experience in leadership roles
